ABOUT US
Established in 2010 we are CakeCandyCo, the original sugar flower company and still leading the way in this field, with many inspired to copy our products on various marketplaces.
However we are just a small studio based on the west coast of Scotland that loves to produce unique and useful handmade sugar paste cake decorations. We supply UK businesses, crafters, bakers, cafes, teashops and soap makers, as well as thousands of home bakers.
We strive to make our decorations colourful and fun, they are not intended to be a strict copy of any object or flower - more like the essence or the spirit of!

Sugar Paste Decorations
We use high quality sugar paste and colourings in all our handmade products which are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free. However if sugar pearls are used some may contain one or all of the following: gelatine, shellac, wheat starch and other trace allergens, please see individual listings for details. We reserve the right to update the sugar pearls used in our products and these may not match the image shown but will always be of a similar colour and better quality.
All sizes listed are approximate and as per our equipment, sizes as per our listings and not the photo images. We use mini cupcakes, standard size cupcakes and 8" cakes in our photos to demonstrate our products and these are for illustration only. This does not apply to photographs supplied by customers. The decorations are for you to compose as you wish and do not come arranged or assembled as per the photos for each product.
25mm is approximately 1 inch, a 28mm rose is approximately the size of a 50p.
We try to keep colours accurate to the product image but there can be variances beyond our control, the colourings we use can vary in the manufacturing process and humidity can affect colours. Please note different digital screens can vary slightly in colours they show.
We cannot match to previously purchased items as shades vary every time products are made.
Ingredients
Sugar Paste: Sugar, glucose, water, maize starch, emulsifier: cellulose gum, preservative: acetic acid, coconut oil, colours. See individual listings for colours used.

Allergy Advice
For allergens see ingredients in BOLD. May contain milk, egg and other trace allergens. If used, colours E102, E104, E110, E122, E124, E129 can have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children. Our sugar paste is suitable for vegetarians and gluten free.
Use By
Our products are made to order. We recommend using our sugar paste products within six months from date of purchase though being a sugar product they do last a lot longer if kept correctly.
Application
Decorations can be applied direct onto buttercream or attached to fondant or plain cake with a small dab of icing to the back, easiest with a piping bag.
Storage
Store decorations away from light and moisture. Do not refrigerate or freeze sugar paste decorations as they will absorb moisture and become soft and lose their shape. Once on cake do not store in airtight container as this may cause decorations to wilt as moisture will build up. If the decorated cake is stored in a refrigerator and the sugar paste decorations have survived the moisture problem, when they come up to room temperature condensation is likely to form and there is a possibility of the flowers 'wilting' and colours running. However, if you wish the sugar paste decorations on the cake to soften slightly then place in the refrigerator for a short time.
Sprinkles
We source our sprinkles from manufacturers and suppliers in Europe and the UK and use their best before or use by dates, a minimum of six months.
Please note candy shapes and sugar pearls can be hard though may soften once in contact with moisture such as runny icing or buttercream. We recommend caution when giving to tiny tots and the elderly.

MAY contain trace allergens as manufacturers usually process other products on their premises such as chocolate and nuts.
Use By Date
Sprinkles will have a minimum of 9 months.
Storage
Store in a dry dark area.

Colours may vary due to manufacturers' changes to ingredients and their processes, humidity and colours being mixed by ourselves.
